AbstractMODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) and Albedo Science Data Product (MOD43B) were presented. The products have been reportedly providing provisional quality products to the science community. The operational MODIS BRDF/Albedo algorithm uses a simple kernel-based BRDF model and multi-date MODIS observations to provide global spectral and broadband bidirectional reflectance and albedo products at a one kilometer spatial resolution every 16 days. The algorithm uses full inversion and magnitude inversion results to compute the albedo quantities.
