AbstractThe purpose of this study is to analyze and propose improvements for the grammar and expression content provided by the Center for Teaching and Learning Korean at the National Institute of Korean Language. The grammar content of the Center for Teaching and Learning Korean comprises such content as level, form, meaning, syntactic constraints, and similar grammar. However, only beginner and intermediate grammatical items are provided, and some significant grammatical items are missing. Some grammar items are not consistent with the criteria for headwords, and the notation of headwords is not consistent with the notation of the International Standard Curriculum of Korean Language. Finally, some grammatical items lack accurate semantic information. Thus, to improve the grammar content of the Center for Teaching and Learning Korean, it is necessary to add certain grammatical items, clarify the criteria for headwords and their notations, correct erroneous information, and provide more similar grammar.
