AbstractThe speech reports the latest developments in the conceptualization and assessment of high expressed emotions (EE) in schizophrenia. In particular, two major breakthroughs are critically depicted, which are(1) The predictive validity of concise self-report tool for identifying family high EE; and (2) Expanding the conceptualization of high EE to include the domain of covert abrasive behaviours. The practical and theoretical implications of these latest research are discussed
