Abstract | The expansion of the medications fetched an upheaval in the human healthcare system. These medicines would assist their role only when they do not have any contamination and being administered in the desired quantity. Stability studies are an essential part of drug development and crucial throughout all stages, with a precise timeline of analytical testing. Drug stability can be categorized into different types, including physical, chemical, microbiological, therapeutical, and toxicological stability. Different instrumental and chemical methods were devised for the analysis of drugs at regular intervals. There is always a risk of contamination in these drugs during different phases of their manufacturing, storage, and transportation, making them unsuitable for administration so they should be identified and quantified. Various analytical techniques and instrumentations are playing a vital role for this purpose. In this chapter, we have discussed various analytical techniques and methodologies for the assessment of the drug’s quality and stability. The chapter highlights a range of analytical methods, i.e., chromatographic, electrochemical, electrophoretic, spectroscopic, and titrimetric, and their analogous techniques that have been utilized in the analysis of drugs. |
