Abstract | This presentation discusses some of the self-help initiatives of Hong Kong's foreign domestic workers during the COVID-19 pandemics in early 2020. These initiatives include the organisation of workshops, online forums and informal talks on virus prevention as well as protection against potential exploitation by employers. We also examine how domestic workers have adapted their collective activities on Sundays in response to the new regulation imposed on the access to and usage of public spaces in the city. |
