Abstract | The use of mice with defined genetic defects engineered by homologous recombination in embryonic stem cells has greatly enhanced our understanding of immune functions at the single-gene level. The complex molecular interactions involved in T-cell development and antigen recognition have been especially targeted for detailed analysis via knockout technology. © 1994. |
