Yàxìyà (亚细亚), yàxìyà zhōu (亚细亚洲) and yàzhōu (亚洲) have been in competition in the Ming, Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period. In this paper, the data statistical analysis method is used to analyze the competition characteristics of yàxìyà (亚细亚), yàxìyà zhōu (亚细亚洲) and yàzhōu (亚洲) during the above-mentioned periods in order to reveal the formation process of the word yàzhōu (亚洲). Based on detailed data, this analysis is designed to clarify two key issues: methods and causes of disyllablization in Chinese Language. |
