Abstract | This article provides an overview of the recent developments of photofunctional materials based on transition metal complexes since 2003. The use of transition metal complexes in applications ranging from photochromism, photosensitization to photocatalysis will be discussed. In addition, the use of transition metal complexes as triplet emitters in organic light-emitting diodes will be introduced. |
