A study of Hong Kong wet markets : its current issues, economic and social functions

Abstract

The public markets is the hot topic to discuss in the society. Via reviewing the local and foreign literatures, I find the functions of the public markets which have social and economic aspects. In additional, since the public markets are related the living and expense of the citizens, I also search out the issues and problems of the public markets and their causes. Also, via reading different articles and book, I discover the criteria and expectation of the public attitude towards the public markets and their comments. By analyzing above data, I would formulate the future management mode and vibrating plan of the public markets. Also, I would expostulate the points to attention when starting and implementing the new public market project plan. Finally, recommendations would be developed to suggest the government how to tackle the current issues of the public markets, enhance its social and economic values such that to promote the sense of the community, community economy development, and social-cohesion.
