Abstract | This book is about the teaching of writing with young English language learners. Teaching writing to young learners can be challenging to even experienced teachers. Students can often find writing the most difficult of the four skills to master. The book is structured around the idea that if we give ownership of the writing to the learners and provide them with the appropriate writing tasks, support, process and environment, they will enjoy writing and become successful English language writers. Each chapter focuses on one important aspect of effective teaching of writing with practical suggestions for teachers of young learners. |
