Abstract正一1987年,湖北荆门包山楚墓出土一批战国竹简,共448枚,整理者据内容分为文书、卜筮祭祷及遣策三大类。文书简主要属官府档案文件,记录了不少战国时期的司法词汇与用语。当中,「察」于简文中多次出现,应该是当时司法文书的习用语之一。从包山楚简可知,「察」的写法众多,左部大致从言,右部变化较大。有关字形之隶定,学者曾先后提出'对、「察」、「察」'等多种说法。然而,自从郭店楚简公布后,《五行》篇有「察」(简8)、「察」(简37)二字,与「察」在字形上有类似之处,帛书本异文分别作'察、辩',古文字学家遂据此再
