AbstractThe solid electrolyte of BaCe0.8Yx Ti0.2-xO3-δ(x=0, 0.05, 0.07, 0.1, 0.15, 0.20) were synthesized by solid-state reactions using BaCO3, CeO2, Y2O3, TiO2 as the starting materials. The phase, microstructure, sintering behavior, shrinkage and conductivity were investigated. The performance of solid electrolyte were optimized by change Ti and Y concentration. The results show that Ti and Y co-doped BaCeO3 have orthohormbic perovskite structure. The conductivity of BaCe0.8Yx Ti0.2-xO3-δ increased as Y concentration increased. The sinterability improved with increasing Ti concentration. The addition of Ti improve sinterability by the results of shrinkage.
