AbstractThis commentary aims to expand on the well-articulated review on youth resilience by Ungar et al. (2017), with reference to promoting resilience among young people residing in Western settings. In this commentary, we highlight some Asian perspectives on the development of resilience of school-aged young people. We also suggest two new potentially useful resources that may be incorporated into the theoretical framework proposed in the review article. We believe the proposed resources could represent emerging assets that young people around the world can utilize to enhance their resilience.
