| Abstract | The clinical success depends on the adhesive strength between resin composites, indirect restorations, and tooth tissues. Adhesion and micromechanical retention are vital factors. Affinity between dissimilar materials, e.g., inorganic and organic, is initially very weak. Tooth tissues need to be conditioned after cavity preparation. How do we ensure durable clinical bonding?
