AbstractThe effects of the additional rolling and annealing on the development of cube texture in the high-purity aluminum foils with higher impurities of silicon and iron were investigated. The experimental results showed that the additional rolling and annealing could obviously increase the content of cube texture. The cube texture of more than 90 volume percent could be achieved when the rolling deformation of 20 % to 40 % was carried out. It was found that the temperature of 220 °C for additional annealing was reasonable for obtaining higher cube texture, at which silicon was found to have lowest solution content in matrix.
