Abstract | With increasing prevalence of colorectal cancer, local recurrence is becoming part of every colorectal surgeon’s practice. Treatment options has been limited in the past, and mainly limited to palliative intent. A recent advance in surgical technique has opened new options with curative intent. Extended resection allows for R0 resection with clear margins with acceptable morbidities. |
