AbstractMicrostereolithography was used to fabricate the adhesion force of polymeric three-dimensional microstructures. The capillary force of the solvent caused the deformation and adhesion of the fabricated beams during the evaporative releasing. The fabrication and releasing of the test structures with parallel beams was done from the liquid resin via evaporation. The adhesion force between two 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) polymeric parallel beams was found by measuring the relationship between the adhesion length and the geometry of the beams and was γ=72±5 mN/m.
