AbstractTransportation plays an important role in a society’s daily operation. Under the background of global warming, there are more extreme weather events, such as tropical cyclone, rainstorm, etc. Almost all modes of Hong Kong’s transportation will be affected by these events. The impact reflects on the decrease in road capacity, the increase in transportation time, etc. Resilience is the ability of a system to maintain its main function when disaster or emergency happens. This research uses stochastic programming to model a multi-modal transportation network under adverse weather condition for Hong Kong and does analysis on network resilience.
