AbstractAIM: We present our 15-year experience in performing delayed open surgical repair on patients with prior endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR). METHODS: All patients receiving post-EVAR delayed open repair of infra-renal and juxta-renal aortic aneurysms from July 2001 to June 2016 were retrospectively studied. We reviewed indications for delayed open conversion, median time interval between EVAR and open conversion, and procedure performed. Operative approach, cross-clamping technique, degree of explantation, operative findings, operative time and blood loss were retrieved from operative records. We evaluated peri-operative and post-operative outcome by means of length of hospital stay, post-operative complications, 30-day mortality, and long-term survival rate …
