AbstractComputer science started to play an important role in data analysis for bioinformatics due to the advancement of next generation sequencing technology. In this talk, we will try to introduce the assembly problem, a critical step in analyzing a genome. We will talk about the difficulties in solving this problem and highlight some of the techniques used in existing tools.
