AbstractThis article, by way of applying both the form criticism and the redaction criticism, compares two versions of the soteriology presentation template in the early Suttas and informs the reader that the version of the MN and the AN is the standard, original and more genuine template and that the template of the DN soteriology presentation is its extended version which is somewhat corrupt in its use, and that this corrupted version has unjustifiably influenced the soteriology presentation of the rest of the DN Suttas even where the contexts do not require the presence of the extended version at all.
