AbstractA new collection of Anthostomella melnikii was made in Kunashir Island, Russia and was found to be identical to Spirodecospora bambusicola. Anthostomella melnikii therefore becomes the type of Spirodecospora. This information is formally published with notes on Anthostomella melnikii and Spirodecospora bambusicola.
