Abstract | Summary Local recurrence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is potentially salvageable by surgery or radiotherapy. In this chapter, the different salvage treatments for local recurrence including brachytherapy, external radiation using stereotactic and intensity-modulated radiotherapy, surgery using robotic and maxillary swing approaches, are reviewed. The selection criteria, reported efficacy and complications of different approaches are presented. |
