| Abstract | The 2nd edition of Hanyu Da Zidian, also known as The Grand Chinese Dictionary, has made some significant revisions on such aspects as definitions, pronunciations, documentary evidences and retrieval of characters. Yet, errors are still found in the dictionary. This paper points out and analyzes several erroneous definitions in the dictionary, and provides suggestions for emendations. |
