AbstractThe availability of computer mapping packages has made computer cartography more available to users with limited programming knowledge. Without good management in cartographic data base, computer mapping packages cannot be utilized to their full capacity. This paper examines the characteristics of some commonly used cartographic data structures and some considerations in managing cartographic data base which are often neglected in computer cartography. -Author
