Abstract | Using the multi-channel generalization of the Landau formula, we investigate the limiting regimes of the adiabatic transport and the ohmic transport of quantum point contacts (QPCs) in series with a closed cavity in between. Our calculations show that the adiabatic transmission leads to the nonadditivity of QPC resistances, and the completely incoherent transport is related to the ohmic addition rule. © 1991. |
