Abstract | The Gutzwiller variational method was used to study an effective Hubbard model. Based on the data, it was speculated that the ground state at half filling can be an antiferromagnetic insulator at large U and a gossamer superconductor possibly coexisting with the antiferromagnetism at small U. |
