AbstractA G-quadruplex-based, label-free, switch-on fluorescence detection method has been developed for the selective detection of ATP in aqueous solution using crystal violet as a G-quadruplex-selective probe. The assay is highly simple and rapid, and does not require the use of fluorescent labeling. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2012.
