AbstractThe present paper describes the use of supported iron oxide nanoparticles on SBA-15 supports as an efficient and highly selective approach for the oxidation of alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds using aqueous hydrogen peroxide at room temperature. Materials could be easily recovered from the reaction mixture and reused ten times without any loss in activity and no metal leaching was observed during this course.
