AbstractDiversity product and diversity sum are two important parameters for unitary space time constellation design. An interesting observation in this paper is that full diversity can be easily achieved by Haar distributed random constellations. Using the packing techniques on the compact Lie group U(n), we derive an upper bound for the diversity product and the diversity sum.
