AbstractThe use of hidden Markov models (HMM) as intelligent robots in system-specific frameworks was discussed. The intelligent robots had the ability to learn and reason the information it captured and act as the pre-requisite for the realization of a truly human-like robot. The HMM-based state recognizer act as the process monitor and provided the state information to the motion strategy generator. The learning and reasoning capability of robots was enhanced by performing the assembly operations in a dynamic environment.
