AbstractA modified MAP algorithm for decoding turbo codes in Rayleigh fading channels is proposed. The algorithm is based on a newly derived transition probability for use in turbo codes incorporated with pilot symbol aided (PSA) techniques. The superior performance of the algorithm is verified via computer simulation.
