AbstractOrbital pseudotumour is a common clinical condition which classically shows dramatic response to steroid therapy. We report a fatal case of steroid-responsive painful ophthalmoplegia which was proven to be due to fungal infection in post-mortal study. We conclude that biopsy is still the key for making a confident and comfortable diagnosis.
