AbstractFine-needle aspiration cytology is widely used for rapid diagnosis. We here report a case in which aspiration of a mass in the left posterior aspect of the chest wall in an elderly patient revealed metastasis from a clinically unrecognized hepatocellular carcinoma. Diagnostic features of the tumor are discussed.
