AbstractUse of dental implants to replace missing teeth in the posterior maxilla has long been a challenge for dentists due to the limited availability of alveolar bone. Various sinus-lift techniques, such as the lateral window approach and Summer’s osteotome technique, have been used for bone augmentation to facilitate implant placement but these techniques have a number of drawbacks. This article presents an alternative technique that may be considered by practitioners.
