Professor Li, Yuhui 李昱輝
Dr. Li received his Ph.D. from Xi'an Jiaotong University (China), where his work focused on engineering functional muscle tissues using microscale hydrogels. Dr. Li later moved to France and worked at the CytomorphoLab (Grenoble and Paris) with Manuel Théry and Laurent Blanchoin, where he studied cytoskeletal dynamics and mechanosensation in living cells. During this time, he also developed expansion microscopy techinique to investigate the ultrastructural organization of centrioles. Then, he worked with Jean-Léon Maitre at the Institut Curie (Paris) to study microtubule organization and mechanics in preimplantation mouse embryos. Dr. Li's interests aim to uncover the fundamental biophysical principles that govern cell and tissue organization, with the ultimate goal of advancing regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
