Short Biography:
Dr. Wenbin Rui received his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, Germany, in 2019. He then joined the University of Hong Kong as a Postdoctoral Fellow, during which time he was awarded the prestigious RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship. He was appointed Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Hong Kong in July 2025.
Dr. Rui's research interests are in the field of condensed matter theory, with a focus on topological phases of matter, non-Hermitian physics, and superconductivity. His work explores their fundamental properties and physical consequences.
