Dr Wu, Wai Yan Bonnie 胡蕙茵
Dr. Wu is a Lecturer and Capstone Experience Coordinator at The Centre of Buddhist Studies, The University of Hong Kong. She also serves as a Lecturer and Field Practicum Supervisor of the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice of Buddhist Counselling at the HKUSPACE. In 2019, Dr. Wu has received her Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from The University of Hong Kong. Her doctrinal work focused on the development and evaluation of a new group-based Mahayana Buddhist intervention, Awareness Training Program (ATP). She is a member of the working team of Buddhist Practices and Counselling Science Lab of the Centre. She has published articles on Buddhist-based interventions and neuroscience of meditation as well as books and manuals on Buddhist Life Education for primary and secondary schools. Dr. Wu has been learning and practicing meditation for more than a decade. Currently, she is appointed as a meditation facilitator of Tergar Asia. She is also a registered social worker and registered professional Buddhist counselling supervisor. She received her B.S.W. from The University of Hong Kong with First-Class honors.
