Professor Wang, Pei 汪沛
Pei obtained her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Zhejiang University and studied for one semester at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 on exchange. She spent a year in Paris for her Ph.D. studies, visiting the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. After obtaining her Ph.D. from the Department of Philosophy at Tsinghua, she did her postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University’s Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences. She started working as an assistant researcher at the China Institute, Fudan University in 2018, while teaching political thought and intellectual history at Shandong University. In 2022, she began teaching Chinese intellectual history as an assistant professor at the School of Chinese, HKU. Her research interests include ethics, political philosophy, intellectual history, comparative philosophy, and contemporary French philosophy (particularly the thought of Levinas).
