Objectives
Treatment and detection for metastatic and local recurrence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remain clinically challenging. We previously identified two epigenomic subtypes of NPC, characterized by global DNA hypomethylation (HyperNPC) and global DNA hypermethylation (HypoNPC) respectively. This study aims to develop a cost-effective DNA methylation assay for molecular subtyping and investigating the clinical outcomes of HyperNPC and HypoNPC.
