Objectives
Cachexia is characterized by a progressive weight loss resulted from muscle and adipose wasting, which was associated with the poor prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer. Pro-inflammatory cytokines release by tumour cells under hypoxic condition results in systematic inflammation, inducing abnormal catabolism of skeletal muscle and adipose tissue in cancer patients.
