Objectives
Oral carcinogenesis can lead to microbiome alteration at the site of the tumor tissue, but its potential in diagnosing oral cancer (OC) or predicting the malignant transformation of orally potential malignant disorders (OPMD) remains elusive yet of great clinical significance. We proposed to:1. Apply a new metagenomic pipeline STREAM to profile oral FFPE tissue microbiomes2. Develop a machine-learning microbiome-based model to diagnose and predict OC
