Objectives
To evaluate the effect of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) Hour-1 Bundle in reducing mortality in adult patients presenting to the emergency department (ED) with a clinical diagnosis of infection and a National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS2) ≥ 5, and to determine the barriers to and facilitators of its implementation.
