Objectives
In this proposed trial project, we plan to engage 1) Department of Microbiology, Queen Mary Hospital (QMH), 2) Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, QHM, and 3) Department of Pathology (Microbiology), QEH to test and evaluate our prototypes. In the current COVID-19 outbreak, QMH and QEH have been heavily involved in testing all suspected cases in our locality and have access to a huge number and a wide variety of specimen types. Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine also admits patients with COVID-19. Therefore, with their supports there will be no doubt that sufficient quantities of patient samples can be collected for trial.
