Objectives
1 We develop adaptive enrichment strategies with sample size re-estimation by controlling the overall type I error rate and achieving desired statistical power with minimum expected sample size. 2 We develop a new measure of survival by assessing the average survival time among the population whose survival rates are greater than a certain quantile, which is the area under the survival curve with respect to the vertical axis in contrast to the restricted mean survival time which is the area under the survival curve along the horizontal axis. 3 For interval-censored and truncated data, we propose a new algorithm to compute the NPMLE by casting the likelihood in the incomplete multinomial framework, and further compute the restricted mean survival time and area above a quatile for such data.
