Objectives
- To investigate the long-term outcomes of mothers with a history of rapid repeat pregnancy and their children and the underlying mechanisms; - To investigate whether early child maltreatment predicts subsequent behavioural problems (including emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity/inattention, and peer relationship problems) among children born to adolescent and young mothers; - To investigate how improvement in these mother’s perception of family cohesion over time affects the behavioural development of abused young children; - To investigate how improvement in mother’s perception of social support over time affects the behavioural development of abused young children.
