Objectives
Repeated relapses confer unfavorable outcomes in lupus nephritis (LN) patients. Alterations in classical and exhausted memory B cells can lead to abnormal B cell responses, and our pilot data showed higher classical memory-to-naïve B cell ratio and increased exhausted memory B cells in LN patients with multiple relapses compared to non-relapsers. This project aims to investigate the role of classical and exhausted memory B cells in LN relapse and the effect of immunosuppressive treatments.
