Objectives
1. To examine the funds of knowledge, experiences and needs of English language teachers and learners in high-poverty primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. 2. To develop the social justice and inclusive pedagogies of pre- and in-service English language teachers’ for teaching in high-poverty primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. 3. To advance theories of teaching and learning English for social justice and inclusion in high-poverty schools in Hong Kong. 4. To develop sustainable initial teacher education approaches for preparing English language teachers for high-poverty schools with diverse student populations.
