Objectives
1 Reconstruct SST changes and during ocean stratification status the MCO from selected ocean sites, 2 Synthesize available SST records and refine the pattern of latitudinal SST changes during the MCO for data-model comparison, 3 Generate a continuous, composite Cenozoic SST record, 4 Integrate stratification results with other available records to infer ocean circulation changes during the MCO, 5 Train research postgraduate and undergraduate students at HKU in the field of paleoceanography/paleoclimatology.
