Objectives
1 To generate and characterize reactive Ru(V)-oxo porphyrin complexes with a panel of bulky and/or chiral porphyrin ligands and examine their reactivity towards C–H bond oxidation 2 To generate and characterize Ru(V)-imido porphyrin complexes and examine their reactivity towards C–H bond amination 3 To perform photochemical C–H bond hydroxylation and amination reactions via LMCT excited states of osmium-oxo complexes and photolysis of metal-organic azide complexes (metal= ruthenium, iron), respectively 4 To develop new heterogeneous metal porphyrin-, corrole- and phthalocyanine-based MOFs for C–N bond formation reactions using organic azides as nitrene source 5 To develop new iron catalysts for selective C–H bond oxidation and C–N bond formation reactions with synthetic interest
